How much will I get out of this ?

1993 LX 5.0 5spd going to put the 3.27 gears out of my 2002 GT in it when I upgrade it to 3.73s because I already have them , car has 3.08s now

thumper heads with upgraded springs

B or E 303 cam any advice on cam choice will be appreciated

Tmoss ported lower

and upper I am porting myself to accept a 65mm TB .....

any idea on what it will make at the flywheel or to the wheels ???

5spd? I'd guesstimate 270hp and 300+ftlbs of torque to the wheels.

I'm thinking that horsepower estimate is a little bit generous. I'd bet it would be closer to 255-260rwhp.

And if you're going to swap gears, it wouldn't be worth your time going from 3.08's to 3.27's. At the very very least go with 3.55's. In comparison though, I had 3.55's in my '87 LX with ported heads and intake (just like Thumpers and Tmoss), full exhaust, 1.7rr, pulleys, CAI, etc, etc. If I could do it all again, I would have gone with 3.73's right off the bat.

The most I've had reported so far with a Steeda #19 cam and Thumpers was Rio5.0 who put down 255RWHP and 311RWTQ. He later changed to a Cobra and made 262RWHP and 295RWTQ. I think you could squeeze a few more HO out of the intake with maybe a different cam choice. Which one would take expert advice.

what would I get if I just do the intake and a set of 1.7 rockers for now and get the thumpers and cam later ????????

Probably around 10-12rwhp. like DMAN302 stated. You do realize though that it's going to cost you more money and time doint it that way. You'll have to tear the engine down twice, when If you just saved a little longer you could do it all the first time around. That would be my advice to you.

Agree with gearbanger, you will notice absolutely no gain when the hammer drops that will justify the time you've spent installing the RR's and putting it all back togther...especially if you have to go back in and adjust or correct improperly set RR's..mucho pain in the ass.
