if money is an issue, then i think you should go to a junkyard and get a 5.0 out of one of the vehicles there. you can swap over your 94/95 accessories and intake if you are mechanically inclined. or if you get one out of a 87-93 mustang, then you could even leave the accessories on it if you want and just swap over your intake. that is probably the easiest and fastest way to get back on the road. then way you have the other motor to rebuild when time and money allows, if you have a garage that is ...
