How old were you when you got your first stang?

After a serious ass whipping at the hands of a not-even-got-plates-yet 87 GT, I sold my 80 Z-28 to my brother, and ordered the car you see in my avatar on October 31, 1987, an 88 LX hatch(you need the weight on the street), paid $11,080, it arrived on December 23 of that year. My best Christmas. To this day. I still love driving it, and tweaking. On its 21st b-day, I had a Shiner(real beer) with it, since it was legal. Suzy thought I needed therapy, but I've had it longer than I've had her. I was 20 when I bought it, 21 when it arrived.

HAHAHAAA! I like this guy!

When I was 15 I bought my '89 it was blue/silver and was hit in the passenger side quarter panel. I was about to pass up on the car because it wasn't stick but I fell in love with car plus it was bone stock down to the air silencer , original plug wires and 2:73's I bought the car and it came along way so far . It's all fixed up now and looks much better now !

17...about a week into summer after my jr year of high school ended in 02, my dad FINALLY decided i needed a car that ran for my senior year. gave me a 3k cap and i found a white 87 t top GT that day on autotrader's website. went and looked at it the next day and drove it home. i miss t tops. :( since then i've had 4 other mustangs including my current, which i'll never let go. 2 were parts cars though.

been riding in fox stangs since my mom got her 86 gt 5-speed in 87 when i was 3.
first car was powered by an 89 5.0 from a mustang, so that was when i was 16.
i got my own actual mustang in 04 when i was 20.

Most of you guys were/are kids when you got yours! LOL!

I bought my car when I was 22 on March 31, 1987. I stumbled across it at a local dealer that ordered about 6 "stripped" LX models with V8 and AC for the "racers". Had to convince my wife to let me get it since we had just put down a deposit on a new Acura Integra for her. Paid right about $10,500 for it with the 5.0 package and AC as the only options. It was my "reward" for getting a nice $200 a month raise on my first real job. It has been my daily driver ever since.

nice! post some pics.

I was 17 when I bought my 89 GT back in 98. I kept it completely stock until out of high school. I then sold it to help pay for college. I just bought it back about a year ago and now I am starting to mod it a little. Its not ever going anywhere now.

It was 1999 and I was 15. I got an 85 GT for $1000. It ran strong but was pretty rotten. I sold that and got a Bronco II at 16, but that was a mistake because my love was with Mustangs. I got another 85 GT about 1.5 months before I turned 17 and got my license. I had that car for about 6 months and sold it to get a black on black 91 LX hatch. I have since owned 19 more cars, 10 of them being Mustangs.

29. I just bought it a week ago. I' ve always been a GM guy, but after I received my income tax refund, I started looking for a a cheap vehicle I could use to drive to work, and to use when I want to work on my Camaro so I' m not without a vehicle. My dad told me about an `88 Mustang GT I could probably pick up for $700, that wasn' t running. A couple days later, he talked the the seller, and the price dropped to $500. Last Saturday, he and my uncle picked it up. It needs a little bondo, fiberglass repair on the spoiler, new front bumper, all new lights, and a coat of paint, and it will be make a world of difference. It' s not in bad shape at all. I just can' t wait to get it on the road, should be a fun little car. It' s a 5-speed car and already has a BBK cold air, BBK shortie headers, new Bosch plugs, new wires, and apparently a chip in it. I' m hoping to have it on the road within a week or two.
