On the way home earlier from a restaurant, my buddy pulled out onto the access road behind me. I was getting on it, running it up to about 65 or so. He called me up all of the sudden, and was like, 'dude you just shot flames out of your dumps!'

lol, now THAT'S rich! I'm getting a header cap tomorrow, that should help.

That is a good way to test for a leaky fuel system.

I have done that before too (mostly on shifts).

One leaky fuel line and BOOM!! One day I'll just disappear from the boards.

I fouled out my plugs pretty good before, but I was able to clean them up. I haven't pulled them in a while, not since my blown head gasket anyway.

lol, maybe I can get my buddy to film it next time. The EGR bung on my passenger side header is open, the cap fell off the other day and disappeared, and I can't find another one. So I have a big exhaust leak there, and as soon as that happened, it started running a lot richer. Once I get that cap back on, I'm sure it will lean out some again. It wouldn't surprise me if my O2's were gone now.

Your 02 sensors only function during closed loop driving. Which is when you are only part throttle or at idle. When you got WOT your car uses set fuel and spark tables.

and where are the pics? lol

flames coming out of dumps espcially when the dumps are pointing in a slight angle towards the sides.

before switching to fox unequal shorties, i just used a 5/8's brass cap to block off the egr. pain in the ass to get the old one off tho, had to use a torch to brake it loose

I can answer that one.... it's annoying and loud enough the drivers next to you notice and look over. Sounds like what I imagine a machine gun underwater would sound like. LOL I had my JB Weld come loose after a year of being in there. I was on a business trip in OKC too. I was more afraid of melting my hood in one spot, than the noise, but it didn't sound good when you got on it any.

In the pouring rain, I made a new plug with JB Quick Weld. So far it's holding again.

Let me clarify... they would look over and give you a "WTF is wrong with your car?" Look.

I bought one of those brass fittings from Home Depot, and used some loc-tite on it. It's held up ever since. I've actually since switched to a MAC cat-back with tailpipes.
