So I have 3 switches (typical 65 mustang heater controls)

Heat Temp and On/Off (not sure of the order)

Which is on whichis off (Up or Down) What do the different combinations do?
I can tell one turns it on, but why have a switch called heat and one called temp. Seems they would do the same thing. I live in Texas so they don;t get used often, but I may as well know what the switches do.

so...... someone tell me what the different possible combinations of these switches will do.

Thanks.

Wow, that wasn't confusing...... :D I think what he is saying is the temp. is juat that-- higher means hotter, lower= cooler. The heat/defrost adjust the amount of hot air going to either the heater or defroster. You can have all defrost or all heat or a combo of the two, (so your toenails don't freeze while your trying to defrost the window).
