How to adjust freeplay slop in clutch pedal?

I pretty much remember how to adjust the actual quadrant but I can't quite figure out how to adjust free play. The pedal is making a annoying rattle at different RPMs and such. Sounds like a peice of loose trim somewhere. But when I touch the pedal I can feel it moving a little freely up and down before it ever moves the cable, mabe even a little side to side movement. It there a way to adjust it at a connecting point or something? It's just bugging the crap out of me! Thanks!

Ive been having the same probs. i thought at first that it was the TOB but i figured out what it was. i think my prob is that my clutch cable is loose because of the clutch quadrant giving out. im gonna pick up a adjustable quadrant from steeda for about 40 bucks. but i feel ya man i barely figured out what it was and its been buggin the heck outta me

I think that's my problem! I have done the auto adjustment constantly with no luck. However...while driving I can pull up on clutch pedal with my toe and leave it in that adjustment position and never hear a single noise from it! How hard is the quadrant to change? Does the cable also have to be changed? If it's an easy fix I may buy one also. Let me know all the info!

LDC used to make a clutch free play mod, but I think they're out of business now. It was a spring that went on the clutch fork and pulled it back. It served a couple of purposes:

1) Keeps the TOB from contacting the pressure plate
2) Eliminated the free play in the clutch
3) Made the clutch feel more consistent. It made the clutch about the same pressure through the whole stroke..

well when i researched it i found an article on the internet that makes it sound easy but when i looked below the dash it looks confusing as hell. on americanmuscle.com they have a quadrant from steeda for about 40 bucks but it also says that you need to purchase the adjustable clutch cable for like another 40 or 45...cant remember the exact price. if anyone does it and fixes the problem before i get to it let me kow how it worked out and if it was easy to install!!!
