Hello Everyone,
I am hoping some one could tell me how to adjust (raise) the idle on my '87. I am idling around 650 and would like to raise it to 950 to raise my chances of passing per my reading the archives. I assume there is a screw or something linkage related? A picture would be fantastic! Wish me luck, pre-test this afternoon!.

Unplug electrical connection to the IAB valve (attached to the front side of the Throttle body), then turn the screw that is located right at the throttle linkage clockwise, hit the throttle a couple times to see where it settles, plug the IAB back in when you are done.

Thanks, with 5K plus posts I bet you can do it blind!

Just out of curiosity,

Do I do this while the engine is running?

Also, where exactly is that electrical connection?

And for my own curiosity, why do I need to unplug the electrical connection if this is a linkage issue?

Thanks so much!
