I've been searching the forums and I could not find a how to explaination on bleeding lifters. Can someone explain please. Also, while I was searching I stumbled upon something else (not really related); what is the reason you would have the EGR turned off?
Thanx

people turn EGR off in the mistaken belief that it gives them horsepower. EGR doesnt cost you any horsepower, and according to the svt engineer i talked to, actually gives the 4.6 power. besides if you have to deal with emissions its illegal to mess with the EGR.

as for the lifters, why are you bleeding them?

Check your PMs. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask.

This is a quote from Modular Depot from an older thread from after I did my cams. I can't find the one that started the whole thing, though but this still gives you an idea. KenB, Starkie, and others recommend it, I feel that guys running 11s in N/A cammed cars probably know what they are doing. I took their advice and mine have been fine. :nice:

Some people don't do it and have no problems. Mikes lifters were so pumped up that noise that everybody is describing would not go away. When I talked to Ken he mentioned to colapse the lifter some and reinstall, and that was the problem. Ask Racer X how long it took for Justins cams to stop making that sound. Same thing.
