Are you wanting to rebuild the turbo or a turbo motor. Yes there are stroker kits for 2.3l engines but they are huge money. Go to Esslinger Engineering . They are one of a few 2.3L Ford specialists. Enter the site, go to "catalog" and click on "product spotlight" from the drop down menu. They list the cranks by stroke lenght. They also list stroker kits by engine displacement in cc's. They don't show prices for these kits on the website but I have called and they are expensive. If you go to the "online store" the show alot of the other parts they sell and they have prices in this section.

That all depends on how much you want to spend. The stock 2.3 bottom end is pretty strong and you can make a lot of power using only 2.3L. Because of that, money is best spent on the head, intake, exhaust and turbo before you try to increase displacement. So what are your power goals? A stock rebuild with crower rods is enough for upwards of 600rwhp.

The weak point at 400rwhp is the rods. Buy some crower rods for your stock rebuild and you'll be set! That's what I'm running.

Yup, it's in the 88 mustang in my signature. It doesn't have 400rwhp yet, but I'm glad I have crower rods.

I assume you were using the 88 TC ECU, air meter and injectors too, right? Look here for exactly what wiring you have to do when swapping a 91 stang to the 88TC ECU and associated parts. 91-93 Mustang Turbo Swap Wiring Info

Changing the pins isn't hard at all. You just pull the pin out of it's location on the main connector to the computer and move it to a different location.

Sorry, I can't help you with the charging problem. It should be very streight forward and easy since there are only a couple wires. You might try finding both a mustang and TC wiring diagram and comparing the charging systems. Then, start tracing the wires.
