put a new e-fan in today. my old one pulled air, and blew it towards the engine.

the new one pushes air towards the radiator. Didnt think it would make a difference, the car wouldnt cool and it overheated. i rememeber the instructions said to flip the blade and reverse the wiring. I lost the paper though...

so what does it mean by reverse the wiring??? just swap the wires? the old hot wires is now the ground and the old ground is the hot wire???

so i want the fan to blow towards the engine and pull air from the front of the car right?? this is how my old fan worked. and it cooled good just was too small to keep it cool at idle which is why i got a bigger fan to start with.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you get a taurus or mark VIII fan? They are pretty cheap and pull over 4000cfm. I got my taurus fan for $35 shipped.

What kind of fan did you get? Maybe someone can find the instructions on line.

If it just has 2 wires then you just reverse the wires. if it has 3 then you use the other one instead of the one your using.

You get what you pay for. Try to get ahold of a sn95 or a taurus fan off ebay. They do work well.

I have the Black Magic Flexilte e fan with the adjustable t stat it works very well with my alum rad and keeps my 347 cool.

the fan out of box was a pusher to be mounted in front of radiator..

So am i going to have to reverse the blade and the wiring to make it a puller??

edit: their site says they are shipped as pullers, so i guess i might have got the wiring wrong. it had a blue and black, i figured black was the GRD and the blue was the hot. gues not

You shouldnt have to touch the blade, just switch the wires and the fan motor will spin the opposite direction. Problem solved.
