I KNOW this is kinda lame but...

what exactly is the shortest way to change the pistons in the 95?
i never went that far on a motor.and i need to know.

im most likely going to get forged pistons and rings for my blower.
if the whole thing gotta get completly torn apart i may get rods and crank too
but i dont wanna go that nuts.i just dont wanna burn the pistons from detonation or the rings..more the rings im worried about.
but
id like to get lower compression so i can boost up a storm..

i dont need a 5 page intruction..just the basics..
im hoping maybe the rods can be unbolted and pull the piston out from underneath. then i know the oil pan dont come out w/out lifting the motor right?

You may as well pull the motor. I suppose it would be possible to re-ring it in the car, but it would be a nightmare. The pan would have to come all the way off (which would be a job in itself). the heads, intake ect. The pistons have to come out through the top. I would just pull the motor, and go through it. ie.bore it, bearings, rings, oil pump ect. if you going to all that trouble.

Yep, might as well have a machine shop bore it .030 over and get pistons to fit, and do it all at the same time.

Personally, I would get a balanced forged crank, have the rods and pistons balanced to each other as well. That would be sweet!

whats the deal with that stoopid oil pan anyway..man thats so freakin dunmb.
what if u wanna change the pan gasket?
still gotta pull the whole motor?or is there a tiny bit of clearance for that atleast?

you can change the pan gasket with the motor in it. but that too is a b***h.I think even then you havere to jack it up some, but I could be wrong. I just went ahead and pulled the motor when the gasket went out on my original motor. While I was there went ahead and put bearings and oil pump in it since it had 100,000 on it.
