how to clean a maf

just wondering how i would go about cleaning my mass air meter

DO a search, lots of answers there. use the torx screw to remove the maf sensor from the maf and spray it with brake cleaner without chlorine, spray it generously and put it back on, make sure u dont touch the sensors, u can even use a q-tip to gently brush it off after u have spray it. good luck.

Make sure the engine is cold!
I used a Q-Tip and alcohol.
Gentle is the word...it really doesn't break that easily, but I wouldn't want to have to replace it..

I actually cleaned my maf sensor on my car a few weeks ago, it definately helped out with the idling also.
