What all do I need to do to get rid of the EGR in my 93 LX 5.0. I know I need a plate on the t/b spacer. I have the ball and the box that are in the passenger fender out. I have the sleniods that are behind the passenger strut tower gone. What do I need to cap off besides the one hole at the vaccum tree?
I did a search but didnt come up with anything for removing the egr just egr codes.

did you remove the smog pump solenoids too? as i recall there is only one solenoid on the pass fender for EGR.

might need to tune around it (let the puter know you ditched it). some folks see detonation from running without EGR but not letting the puter know.
gonna have to monkey with the position sensor to try to trick the CEL.

i dont know more cuz i would not remove the EGR - it does not adversely affect performance (and can help).
good luck.

Right now only my block is in the engine bay and im hiding wires that is why I want to get rid of it. All the smog is gone the charcoal vent is in the passenger fender. Im gona block of the holes in the t/b. My qestion is what vaccums do I need to cap off. I know there are two that go under the upper intake one is red and one is black. Then there is one that goes to the vaccum tree that says A/C( dont have ac any more). Then there is also a vaccum line that goes in the fire wall inside the car that is right behind the t/b area. And I took out the vaccum ball and box that are inside the passenger fender.(hope I dont need these?) Also took out 3 solenoids all right behind the passenger strut tower. One was up higher and then two were in a bracket below the other one. The two below the vaccum lines running to them had already been caped off. The lines ran from a square connector that had other vaccum lines running to them. What are thoes solenoids and do I really need them If so i'll put them back.
