how to get the sound deadner out of the back seat?help?!

I tried doing mine in the dead of winter, when the stuff was really cold. I was able to crack and chip some of it off.

I am assuming it behaves like Dynamat. If so heat will make it relax. You may be able to scrape it off then, with the aid of a solvent.
Watch the heat though as solvents are a little scary around high temps.

I needed a heat gun and a couple hours to get mine out from the entire car, trunk to firewall. 3 full garbage bags, totalling 50something pounds (bathroom scale).

And, as other folks have asked, why would you want to?

Also, a hairdryer is not much of a substitute. Heat guns are cheap, listed as "paint strippers" at sears with the same capability but half the price.

This is what I did. Still have half of the car left to do yet but haven't had time. When using a heat gun make sure that you don't let it heat up one place for too long because you could end up with a nice little fire going in the interior of your stang. Just be careful around any wiring as well cause the heat gun will get HOT

I used a scraper and took a few days to do it....MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PATIENCE BECAUSE YOU WILL GET FRUSTRATED BECAUSE IT TAKES SOME TIME...I also used a pick wedge and just kept hammering it up...did a section at a time...just make sure that you cover it with a primer or you could develop some surface rust when you scrape it all up...good luck

I had to use a chisel on this car. Some seem to come off easier than others.

There is plenty of it in there. Not sure if other people went up to the firewall or did the firewall as well. The stuff on the firewall requires removing the heater box, pedal box, accellerator pedal, etc. It takes a while.

the weigh loss itsnt worth the time, but i did it with a head gun and a old flat head, i recently got tired off the hollow sound and put fat mat through out the entire car, MUCH BETTER!!
