Gotta pull the motor out and need to drop the transmission too. But I can't get dam top bolt of the starter out . I messed with it for like three hours. I need any and all help ya'll can give me.
not sure about a '96, but my 2k I had to use about 2' of extentions, a swivel and a shallow 1/2" socket. Run the extentions out toward the front of the car, between the exhaust manifold and the motor mount hump. You will have to snake the end between a few hoses to get it to line up. I had to lay under the car, feet to the frontand my hand guideing the socket, while movint the extensions with the other. once it was hooked all it took was a good turn with a long ratchet, or break-over bar. I hope that helps.
run an extension and a swivel from it through the motor mount and to the front of the engine. use the ratchet from there. also a good idea t have a second person with a hand wrapped around teh starter to make sure the socket dont slip off.
