Well i just got my catted X but its not loud, i want to gut my cats but i dont know how or if there is a proper way of doing it, has anyone done that to them??

Yup, a long screw driver and a hammer is the way to do it. And I would also recommend just buying a X without cats. You will also get a crappy sounding echo in that hollow spot in the cats.
If you need a catted pipe for emissions, just stick your stock one on for the inspection, then replace it with the O/R unit until you need to recertify, but don’t gut an otherwise perfect aftermarket catted mid-pipe. Gutted mid-pipes sound like $h!t and buying one just to butcher it is a complete waste of money. If you don't like the sound of your catted X, then just sell it and buy an off-road X.Black Stang 97 said:

well i juss got them installed and damn, im surprised, theyre loud, but i like it, i have a leak which im trying to fix, ill see if i can dot hat tommorow
