Hey guys, I think that I need to get more MPG out of my car. I got an 87 stang GT. The mods it got are ford racing aluminum radiator, 3:55 gears, fenderwell cold air kit and a 70mm throttle body and 70mm mass air sensor. My driving habits are not that of a pedal to the metal or heavy footed. My question is what combos can squeze more MPG out of my car. I have heard of 25 mpg highway. I would like to get to that if possible. any ideas? :flag: :spot:

put a 1 X 2 under the loud pedal (to help temptation) and turn the car off at red lights (idling is what i think kills our milage). J/k on all of this.
the real solution is a 2.3 swap. ok, kidding again.

good luck with your goal. :)

Get rid of the cats, if your location permits, got me 3-4 mpg. An electric fan got me 1-2 mpg. Research that well, or you could start a fire. I get 16-18 around town right now with the ac on and 20-25 on the hwy depending on how fast I go. I think the big killer of mileage in these cars is taking off quick from a stop. If you leave slow and shift to 2nd at 2000rpm instead of 3000rpm you will see the biggest gain. After all, its not an economy car. :D
