It all depends on how far you want to go. Fiberglass hood, hatch, even doors. Remove a/c, remove smog pump. Take out rear capet and all sound deadening. Take out spare and jack, take out any unesessary interior pieces. Remove front sway bar, aluminum heads, aluminum driveshaft. Theres plenty you can do you just have to decide what you want to give up.

cut bigass holes in the body panels/fenders/doors/quarters. In fact, just take the fenders/doors/bumpers/windows/hood and all that useless junk off...it's just unnecessary weight.

Sell the car; buy my Zook - 125HP; 490 lbs. It's not transportation; it's a religious experience. That's right - to see God just open up the throttle all the way.

Remove the axle damper weight, put in aluminum bumpers, remove all the sound deadening under the carpet, remove all the exhaust except the mufflers, use lightweight seats, remove the sound system. Go to manual steering and brakes, and use an aluminum master cylinder. Get aluminum rear control arms. Remove the front sway bar. And then take the hole saw to the body, such as the hatch bracing, hood braces, etc.

For the extremists out there, go around the car and cut off any bolt that extends more than one thread past the nut.
