i've seen all the 99+ owners going wingless use nylon plugs, is this the same for a '98? in a month or so i'll be getting the s281 wing, but for now i thought i would sport the wingless look just because i like it. plus i think my '98 could pull it off with wide tires and nice sized tips.

i took mine off a few weeks ago while waiting for my s281, my front holes were 7/16 i think but the rear holes were not round but more of an oval so those plugs didn't fit snug....I just slapped a small piece of duct tape on top of the plugs..lasted a month without coming up. Wing is in so no more ghetto tape rig.

yea thats what i was worrying about. i've heard about using panel plugs like the ones that hold your carpet in place and i wouldn't mine if there were little bumps on the trunk lid. but i'd still have to find a way to make it secure in the oval hole.
