how to remove a Rear Drum!!! ??

1. loosen lug nuts do not remove.
2. raise and safely support the vehicle
3. remove the lug nuts and wheel
4. remove the drum retaining clips (if there still on there alot of times people dont reinsert these from prior removal) and drums.
5. if the drums will not come off at this point remove the rubber plug from rhe backing plate and insert an adjusting tool (or a screwdriver will work) thru the hole in the backing plate and back off the adjusting screw then remove drum.

Don't forget the trusty hammer. I had to tap the drums on my old 84 LTD with a hammer. Kinda like tapping the sides of the lid on the pickle jar when you can't open it.

I've had times where I had to use the sledge hammer!

the hammer trick works every time, just tap around the drum till it comes loose.

don't forget to get in the car and pump the brakes about 15 times when the drums are off.....It will teach you to never to do it again I promise. (never done it myself but one guy I work with has done it)
