How to Remove the Crash Beams inside the Doors?

It seems to be spot welded in, but iven if cut loose the beam would be too long, so how do you remove it from each door? Cut it in two once removed? Who has done this and how did you do it?

I know the saftey aspects of this, and I'm getting a cage, so lets not debate that.

i was wondering the same thing. I'd really like to remove them to, i have a 10pnt cage and i was going to do the same thing. Im getting my car repainted and i was just going to get some doors off another car and gut them and then put them on my car before its painted....but if there's another way, id like to hear it.

I'd like to get the fiberglass doors eventually, but for now I'd like to remove as much unneeded weight as possible.

Your trying to take it off from the inside?

I guess just cut it up,other wise you would have to take off the door skin on the out side,and to me that would be alot more work.Unless your getting it painted or something.

Has anyone ever felt how light the 94-95 Mustangs doors are with the manual windows? They're like feathers, i wanted my doors to be that light, i think its the side impact things that make them so heavy, i'd love to figure out how to remove them without cutting my door open.
