If you dont use the heater core can you delete the black pipe on lower intake? Or do you just connect the pipe together? Whats the right way?

thanks

There are several ways. The easiest, imo, is to just pull the hoses off the heater core at the firewall and put a splice between them. I think it is a 5/8 to 3/4 fitting you can get at Napa.

If you remove one pipe youll have to delete both of them and remove the water passage that goes through the throttle body spacer.

Good Plan. That's what I did when I had the stock manifold. There aren't many days in Central Florida that you really need heat.

If NAPA doesn't have the splice, then check Home Depot.

Hmmm ... now that it's mentioned, my heater pipe serves almost no purpose whatsoever, now. My heater's bypassed and so is my EGR spacer - not much immediate need for either in the desert. There does seem to be a necessary temp sensor located on there, though...
