how to tell if MAF is right?

I put a pro-m 75mm bullet on my car a few weeks ago, now I know it's for 19# injectors, but I'm not sure what the calibration is for - stock panel filter, cone filter, cai. I have it with a bbk fenderwell cai on my car. At initial startup sometimes it stalls out, or it almost stalls, and then jumps to the normal idle rpm. The car seems to rune fine other than that. would there be any other effects if its the wrong calibration?
 
I don't no if they are calibrated for a certian style filter. On my car i put a C&L meter calibrated for 24# inj. with the stock air box, and the changed to a cone filter within the last month and havent found any real diffence between the 2. Now that the weather is a little cooler it is a little cranky in the morning but thats it.
