I think the ssp cars had an oil cooler and silicone hoses. also one key works everything, I think, doors, trunk and ignition. There were a few other options but the best way would be to run a carfax and see who took delivery first.

This is probably your best bet.

There is a also a website dedicated to SSP Mustangs: http://www.sspmustang.org/

There is a lot of data in the Technical Information section about identifying SSP cars by using door tags, buck tags, etc.

I'd love to have a texas SSP fox. Cheers on the car.

They all had different options throughout different states, wikipedia on the SSP mustangs says some of the differences.

I think the "silicone in the water" comment might have been my favorite.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't even a SSP he was standing by.

As for the locks and hoses and such, not all years got the same things. They were ordered by the agencies to have particular parts as they felt they needed them. The hoses and high output alts weren't introduced until the aero cars, so my car for example never got that stuff. Same goes with the 1 key for all locks thing, my car has 3 keys one for each lock.

Mine an SSP, per the SSP registry, and has 2 keys. Don't know about the alt or hoses as it isn't the original motor but there were a LOT of variances. Check carfax or the registry, good place to start.

Mine doesn't do wheelies all the time
