How To Test a Window Motor?

I just ordered a window motor and I want to test it before I install it. It has a red wire and a yellow wire. Do I just provide 12v to one, and ground to the other? This would be my assumption because the motor has to rotate 2 different directions.

Any suggestions?

Take a jump box or car battery and hook up one wire to each terminal, let the motor move one way. Then switch the wires on the terminals and it will move the other way.
