How to use Power Steering Pulley Puller?!

Heheheh I know this may sound dumb but I have rented a powersteering pulley puller and can't seem to figure out how this thing works? Anyone wanna give me a detailed explanation on how to do this??? The sooner the better I need to return this thing ASAP so please help me in a hurry guys....

describe the puller you got - there are different types. Some are kinda like a bearing splitter and others are like Jawed pullers.

Umm I can describe it sorry I haven't had the opportunity to use either of those other tools. Basically its the one from autozone it is a bolt with two semicircles that go around it with a small band around the two if that makes it easier to understand.b
