How To Wash Engine?

Do any of you have any recommendations on how to wash my car without messing anything up? What items to use?

Simple Green or Pink Stuff and lot of Elbow grease and rags.

Simple green!! scrub and cover the alt, distributor, and coil...

Then you can spary down the entire engine bay with some sort of amour all, or similar

do i have to cover the alt. distributor and coil? i'm only asking cause if i do, it's gonna look dirty compared to the rest of the engine.

Yes, you have to cover thoes things. Just scrub them with a rag, green scrubbing pad for the alt, and they'll look fine.
