How vital is garaging a classic Stang?

Wal-mart sells this tarp like car cover about two or three layers thick. I live in Alabama so it is very humid and it rains alot. The only thing bad about the cover is some dust will still get through, but I pulled my cover off afte two days of raining, the car was dry as it could be, and the cover had puddles of water in it, that is saying alot.
Just a consideration.

I'd like it be my daily driver although I do NOT drive to work. I have a garage a couple of miles up the road I could use in the winter. But would it be ok to keep it outside during the warmer months? My area is a very safe and leafy area of DC. Very hot and humid summers.

Given that you have the option, I would find the best condition classic of your liking and budget. Keep it in the garage during the work week. Leave it out at your place during the weekend. A quality car cover is good when leaving it outdoors, but in the time it takes to remove, fold and store it, you could probably ride a bicycle the few miles to the garage. Also worth noting is that you should never put a car cover on a dirty or wet car.
