I want to keep the TC unmolested as the wife likes to drive my car from time to time. How will 4.10s affect it? I have heard that in the 05 there is a specific warning in the manual about messing with the wheel size or rear end as this will negatively affect the TC. No such warning in my manual.

well your car isn't a 05. those POS are touchy with any mod.

besides the torque amplification (meaning quicker ratio) you shouldn't have any problem switching out gears.

lets just say if she gives it a little too much gas it will activate the TC due to spining the tires you can consider getting 3.90's or 3.73's if that is your concern about your wife when she gets the car but hey its up to you on what gear size you want

Relax.
4.10's are not gonna make you spin all over the place or anything.
People here make it sound like you have to re-learn how to drive, blah blah blah.
It's just a nice boost down low in Torque, that's all.
I have a 5-Speed and I had absolutly no problems driving right after the 4.10's were installed.
BTW....turn off the TC.
