heres the thing, everytime im out driving, i always come up to a light and usually its a civic, integra, and sometimes but not often its a prelude, its orange county what do you expect, and theres also my best friends brother with a saturn coupe that revs it to the line everytime he passes by me in the high school parking lot (even tho i beat him by idk how many car lengths. theses guys always look at me like "OMG, if we raced Id smoke ur ass!", heres my question....WILL THEY?!?!?! i know my car isnt a big boss 5.0 or a big bad 4.6 (which are nice i just dont wanna pay the insurance, im only 18) but do these guys really have an edge on me. even with mods like i/e/ and headers, how can they get that much power out of them?

do i dare start toying with these guys or what.

ooh, a motor swap? to, let me guess, the b16a2!? omgosh vtec, lol
some of them NEED an engine swap because honda engines dont tend to last for a long time, like most for engines... as long as they are well maintained they should go on forever, lol =D

no actually a h22. a friend of mines got one with full exhaust and someother stuff and runs over GT's. dont get me wrong a civic is still a civic but a small small percentage of them have some power. And lets be honest we drive v6's they arnt the most powerfull things either.

Imports = Japanese Cars (i dotn even use that term extensively for euro cars...)
Import Tuners = Smart Japanese Car Owners who make it go
Ricers = With da 3 foot wing and da unpainted kit (see "Honest To God Definition of Ricer" thread)
^IMO

as far as imports go...i have respect for the ones that are actually fast, but the ones that have wheels and a big aluminum spoiler and are slower than my car...thats a different story. i do like the srt-4 tho, those things are insanely fast, i saw one at the track once

i'm not sure a stock 6 can, but i know i've beaten a majority of them out here in Montgomery County. Most are just looks and no performance. The last ricer i beat up was a RSX-S... most say they're fast, but they lack so much torque so it takes them 5 years to get up to speed.

Unless the driver is actually good. My friend took his stock RSX-S to a 14.8 1/4 mile.

Thefts for si's, integras, and rsxs are higher than ever. And you will be suprised how many civics have motor swaps in them now. I sold my stang because my exhaust just attracted too much attention and got into all sorts of trouble. Now i have a 97 civic coupe w/a gsr swap with bolt ons but with no exhaust.

I have come to the dark side now integraholic. :p And i have to say that i really do enjoy it. Just the lay out of the car and the feel of it does feel more like a sports car than my six. My car has no power steering just like you, but it isnt too bad.

I have a friend who is in the "import tuner" type thing... He owns a 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback... some engine mods, havent seen it in a while, as it has a few mechanical problems (doesnt run) and he is putting them on hold till spring, until then he gets to drive his parents truck, and, on accasion, Honda S2000...

srt-4s aren't imports though
