A good/professional one is probably $500-1000, varying greatly on where you go. 67Thumper does port jobs on stock 351w heads on here and has a pretty good rep, maybe talk to him.

You might wanna post on *******.com and fordmuscle and ask what people there did with their patriot heads (whether they just became paperweights or if they were able to fix them up).

IMO I would not dump 500-1000 to port crappy heads. By the time you get them ported, you'll have probably spent 1500+ bucks. Just buy some nice AFRs and be done with it.

Same thing with factory heads... why would you spend time and money porting little 289 heads when you could buy 351 or GT-40 heads? See what I mean?

The 289 heads can be worked pretty good, obviously not on the same level as the gt40 heads but still . . .

The guy I mentioned previously has been a 6.72@103 with ported 289s and a t5. Try that one on for impossibilities
