HPX Ignition

Just doing a bit of research the other day and came across this website:
http://www.electromotive-inc.com/products/hpx.html

I was just wondering if anyone here has used this multi-coil, crank-fired setup and has any comments?
My friend uses this setup in a Hemi powered Sprite. It works in conjunction with the fuel injection system. He has the older DOS version of the software, which makes tuning a little more of a hassle. The new version of the software runs on Windows and looks a lot more user friendly. All in all, the ignition works very well. They just need to put the car on a dyno to fully dial in the fuel injection & ignition.

They're using the TEC-2 system which is the complete engine management package. It's essentially the predecessor to the TEC-3 system. I don't know what the main difference is between the two, other than there's some more functionality with the TEC-3 and that it's Windows based.

As far as how they interact, it's all dependent on the fuel injection control module. My friend also has the Electromotive ignition in a Chebby powered 240Z. He's using an old version of the Accel fuel injection system which takes its signal from the ignition, however, it is unable to advance or retard the timing.

The new Accel setup, as well as the FAST setup are a couple you might want to check out as they both should work with the Electromotive ignition.

If you don't want to do much fabrication with the intake manifold, you may even want to try talking to Edelbrock and see if their Pro-Flo EFI System is compatible with the Electromotive ignition.
