With a 107* LSA, don't expect good fuel economy. These cams are meant to maximize the "big cam sound", not fuel mileage.

Yea, look at a roller with EFI specs. (wider LSA is what you want) But you need to also take into account the compression ratio too. Too much with a wide LSA and you might end up with a motor that wants premium fuel. The Ford F4TE I'm running in my 89 Ranger gives good torque, pulls from idle to 60 grand and has a very wide LSA (116*) Specs are 256/266 advertised duration, .445/.473 lift with 1.7 rockers. It's in a 9 to 1 5.0 with a Ford A321 intake, topped with a Holley 570 Street Avenger. The speedo doesn't work, but the trip odometer runs backward (I had trouble mating the Toploader 4 speed speedo with this truck) and from what I can tell the mileage is about 15-17 mpg on the highway without overdrive. The truck weighs 3800 lbs and has 3.73's with 28" tires, that equates to a classic Stang with 3.50's and 26" tires. It digests 87 octane most time, but pings slightly when the weather turns hot. I run a few gallons of premium mixed with the regular occasionally to keep that under control.
