I am going to be very broke for a long time.

You guys are lucky. Over here you cant even find a shack for $250k. Decent houses that arent falling apart and in places where you wont get shot, cost anywhere from $400k and up. If you really want a nice house $500-600 should get you started. And thats in the boonies 1 hour away from Boston. Anything in the Boston burbs is either a crack house looking place or costs over $1M!!! :bang:

for all you guys who keep complaining about housing prices I've got 3 words...

Urban Growth Boundary

Keep voting for people who won't do anything about that (read democrats, and rhinos) and housing prices in oregon will continue to spiral out of reach of normal people.

On a happier note, looks like a real nice place there, congratulations.
damn, from that post I would of figured you live in Eugene.

Considering they have a plan to grow upwards, instead of outwards. Although its good for me, I live in a smaller town that is close to Eugene. The growth here is not as limited. A new housing development is under works. Its supposed to have around 240 new homes. Which is huge considering the population is right around 9,000 people.
