i am grinning :D

I never had any torx screws or anything. But my package never came with those push nuts to put on the bottom of the... plastic nubs... that are on the bottom of the bottom piece... man I can't explain that well.

So it moves a little and it sucks, Mustang Tuning never got too me about it either. Oh well.

i grin once more! :)

sorry about the glare, i dont have my camera with me at home so i had to use one of my sisters :notnice:

anyway me and my father worked at that screw for about 10 min with a drill, we moved the nub out of the way enough to fit a flat head screwdriver in it and it came right out. the rest was easy as hell :)

i hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving yesterday :nice:

thanks :)

i need to get those headlamps swapped out:notnice:

i got a set of smoked clear corners that i am sealing up that i will throw on there next time i am home

anyway i looked at my 99 v6...it has the SAME screw in the same place as well

the CDC directions that came with the unit say "If equipped" to take that piece off. I am curious if they were only on the first batch of the newer style:shrug:

i havent come across anyone else with my problem...or maybe i am the first to complain about it

That looks hot.

I never understood the security screw idea on the grills on these cars. If someone wants your pony, they aren't gonna sit down with a screwdriver and unscrew it. They are gonna grab onto it and RIP it off. I see Mustangs all the time with ripped off ponys, with the pony mount still in place.

I'd rather leave regular screws and have the person unscrew it rather than rip it off. Those holes that the screws thread into strip out rather easily. One good yank and it will pull right out and then you won't be able to screw anything in without repairing it

BTW, nighthawk, when i did my Mach 1 grill, there were no screws on that interior grill peice. There were the two holes, but nothing was in them. Did you buy your car used? Maybe someone already had a delete on it???

well heres the thing, the pony is NOT attached to that radiator support with the security torx, its part of the honeycomb

the GT and a silver v6 we have were both previously owned, however the v6 has the same screw in the same hole

That's weird. Mine didn't have any screws in it at all. The holes were there, but no screws.

The pony in the stock grill is the same as the mach grill, so if anything ever happens to yours you can use that.

One good add-on for the mach delete is the roush grill. You need your stock pony and corral for it, but it's a nice touch
