i bought a 99 cobra!

i just bought a 1999 cobra for 13,900. it has 52k miles on it, it's bright red (anyone know the exact red? it's the same red as the 00 cobra r) it has springs, catback, x pipe with cats, short throw, and 00 cobra r rims and a bbk cold air kit, anyone know what this could run? i'm goin to pick up the car on saturday and hopefuly on wednesday i'll take i to the track, just wanted to let u guys know and thanks -Jeff

are you sure it's Performance Red? Did they not put out that color until 2000? If the code inside the door says ES then that is what it is. The only other color that close would be Torch Red. Not sure of that code though.

Laser red??Thats what the 00 cobra Rs were listed as in the magazines.

It's not laser red, you can tell the difference between laser red and a bright red. I'm pretty sure his car is Rio red.

Great car man ! I think it'll run 13.5. If you take it to the track often, you'll learn to hate that IRS fast

Ford only introduced Perf. Red in 2000. If it hasn't been repainted, it's Rio red (E7 or E8 paint code, can't remember )

yea i picked it up today and will get some pics of it tomorrow...it's looks the same color as the 03 cobra posted above.

i'm goin to take some pics of it today...it's nice day out...i still have my 94 GT with the DSS, and might keep it but if someone comes around and wants to buy it i'll sell it. i financed the car, i put no money down and i pay around 300 a month for it. i'l post some pics of it later on today. thanks

This is my 2000 GT. It's not a Cobra. I just had a new bumper and hood put on it since I wrecked it and it wouldn't cost me anymore to do it. Anyways that is a 2000 Performance Red GT. There are a couple of other reds they came out with that are really close to it. Like a shade or 2 off. The sun and lighting can make them look similar. Just look on the inside of your door frame on the drivers side and look for the code, then call Ford. They will tell you for sure.
