So when having some spirited driving lastnight on the way home, once again my ic reservoir cap decided to vent quite a bit of the coolant out the hood vent and up my windshield.. Popped the hood and the cap is tight., level is below the min fill line. After some research i see that it could be the cap or pump not working, I tried the method on modford's where you pull the relay and make a jumper to kick in the pump, nothing happened with the car off or with the key in run.. it was late when i got home so i couldn't really start it up and see if it worked while the engine is running.will do that tmmrw. Thoughts/ideas?
Ok, earlier today i checked things out, the pump works when the car is running even just after a cold startup with no jumper mods in place. fluid is cool to the touch after hwy driving at around 75 degrees at night. The car does feel like it's heatsoaked alot of the time, any ideas?
