I think the muffler you are thinking of was the Dynomax VT. I think Dynomax quit making them, they were having compaint about the internal valve making noise or failing.

That’s it, thanks. I was searching for dual tone and varitone, not VT (valve technology). Unless made from high quality stainless, corrosion failure could be a real possibility. I hope someone will improve on the idea. As an alternative, electric cutouts are slow, but still available.

The Roush exhaust on my '09 sounds terrific; just below obnoxious, except for the drone around 1900-2000 or so. Right around cruising speed unfortunately. I was looking into those videos about welding on a 1/4 wave attenuator for that RPM/frequency. Anyone tried it? Sounds like a lot of work, and not much room to tack on a 24" sidepipe down there.

Anyone that is currently catless, shouldn't waste their time with resonators, just put 2 high flow cats back on.
Most good resonators are like the size of a small bullet muffler.

I have the dynomax ultraflo welded, they will soon be replaced with the turbo's.
The ultraflo's aren't terrible, but i'd still rather it be quieter.

What we really need is someone to copy the mufflers off of a new Gt350 and redesign that for foxbody use.
