I think both Ford and the aftermarket are doing some great things with the new platform. I've seen so many variations of the new stang, and alot of them actually look considerably different.

Too bad none of them are affordable for the common man who still retains both testicles.

Are u insulting my intelligence based on the fact that i wouldn't take any of those cars?? I could give a s#*t about any thing relating to the new bodystyle cause its ugly as sin. Sure its nice w/ all these new editions but the only thing im lookin at are the motors and what Ford has done with em. Go back about 35 or so yrs, if you wanna gimme some of those pony cars i would be glad to take one of em.

Their suppose to sticker at $55,000. But with only 500 being made, you would'nt be able to touch one for under $80,000 probably. I would take that over a GT500.

lol you can barely touch a GT500 for under 80k, and their sticker is what, 45k?

i think if anything the only S197 thats appealing is one with a C500 cervenis kit (eleanor scheme, im kinda biased) or the '08 Bullitt concept. ive also seen a Mach1 (or maybe it was just a fastback) concept for the 09's that looked alot better.

the main selling point for me would be LOSE SOME ****ING WEIGHT!

I respect Saleen and he makes great cars. But i have NEGATIVE interest in ever buying any of his vehicles. I think if FORD made that 302, i'd be interested in buying it. Because its saleen made, its going to be WAY overpriced and just not as cool as if it were a mass production model from ford. But hey thats me

I'd take a GT500 over that in a heartbeat

I can't wait until this next model year of GT500 Shelby's, and especially the third year run. I'm really curious how much they will drop like a rock in price. I have'nt seen pics of the new Bullitt or the Boss their suppose to build. But the Parnelli looks really good with the better outside styling of it. Much better than the bland new body style looks right now. If you put side scoops, chin spoiler, Rousch deck lid, hood scoop, and Rally stripes on the new body style, it looks alot better I think.

where did they pull an 5.0 3v from?? they seriously manufacture a new design for 500 cars? thats a waste

they do have the 5.0 cammer motor, whcih is a 4V 5.0 mod motor, however they make that motor im sure is the same way they make the 5.0 3V.

im nto a fan of the 6 spoke wheels, or the chrome/billet/whatever ring around the tail lights & everything

Its not the same! The 4V Cammer is a 5.0 made larger with bigger bores, the Parnelli Jones car is not a Ford option and is made a 5.0 by adding a stroker kit. The larger bore is by far the better way to do it.
