Hi GTSETGO i'm fairly new to the forum. I like your stang. I'm on the carbed team too My clunker is in my sig. She runs like heck Have fun with the new engine that thing's awesome BTW so is FBD's engine if that's yours bro. Makes mine look like a sewing machine motor.

I guess ol' GunMetal here doesn't know my poor cars history, and why I am having to drop a new motor in it?

Yep, that is what happened. Faulty battery killed my Mustang from the firewall up. Now she looks like this:

Well, not so much anymore. I have the engine bay cleaned up pretty well. All the melted parts and wires are gone. The motor is still black, but I hope to get the engine bay sand blasted this weekend and the motor pulled.

I want to puke everytime I open the garage door and push it out to work on it.

Yep, born and raised in Cincy. Great little place for polution and crime. But, you are right, are fine arts are great!!

Yes that sight truly pulled on my heart strings and my stomach. =/ NO ONE deserves that. Were you driving in it when it happened?? What can I do if anything to avoid this type of thing happening to me? My battery is in my trunk.

Also it just had a new wiring harness put in. All may bow down to the carbed gunmetal5.0!!!!!!!!!!!

I had just parked it. Luckily, I had been caught in a rain storm and stayed in the garage to dry it off, or my whole garage and the entire car would have burned before I realized it was on fire!! Nothing you can do. It was a one and a million thing with a battery having a defect. I can tell you it was a certain battery with a red top, but like with any company, they are bound to have defects.

Dang maybe a temperature sensor in the trunk where my battery is that sets off a really loud alarm? Hmmmmmmmm.
