It doesn't mention anything about it being a Roush, however if you look close at the pics, it is a stage 3 roush for $19,000!! I thought i found the motherload. Maybe the guy honestly didn't know what he had. Maybe there was a death in the family and he inherited it. YA RIGHT!! That was just wishful thinking.
The phone number listed is bogus. It keeps saying the guy is out of the area. On the ad it says the guy is in OK. I looked at the carfax and says it is in FL. So maybe the guy moved... YA RIGHT!!!
I emailed the guy, and this is what he says:
"Still for sale. The car is in perfect condition, no mechanical or esthetical problems. The title is clear, i'm the first owner. I'm selling is because me and my family just moved and we need some extra money for our new house. The car and all the paper are already at the shipping company if you agree for shipping. Where are you located?
Thanks and let me know if you are interested."
COOL, he just needs the money to provide for his poor family. Maybe he really is in a bind and needs the money. After all it is at the shippers already, he must be hard up!! YA RIGHT!!!
So I email him back asking where the car is, that I would like to fly down and look at it, but I wanted a good contact phone number so I can find out more about the car. This is what he says:
"The car is located in Ontario Canada.
Thank you ."
Huh, no contact number?? This is odd so I thought I would let my super
hing skills kick in. Looking at the carfax it does say 2 owners and it is in FL. I thought that was odd since he said he was the original owner. The last entry says it is in Florida at a dealer. I did a search for Lake worth FL car dealers, and started searching inventories, and BINGO!!!

The VIN number is exact! I called the dealer and yes it is actually there, they verified it. They are asking $41,000 on the web site, and the offered it to me over the phone for $33,000. Which is actually a pretty good price for a roush stage 3! I even verifed that on roush's website. However I am in Alaska, and I really can't afford that much right now, so I must just sit and patiently wait for my next "to good to be true"!
I did e-mail cars.com and told them that ad was a hoax, so hopefully no one has/will get screwed. I am really likin Carfaxs!!!
I am still in contact with the a-hole, just to see what he does. Hopefully I can get a phone number from him, then let him have it!! HEHEHE
