I just turned the front drums because they were out of round and vibrating whenever I would brake. The shoes have a lot of meat on them, all the hardware looks like its in good shape, the brakes are adjusted, and I double checked to make sure the lugnuts were tight.
Whenever I stop I hear this sort of knocking sound coming from the front drums. It happends at slower speeds(probably because I can't hear it at faster speeds due to wind noise, etc.)
It happends every 1/2 second or so and I have no idea what it could be. I went through the brakes and everything seems tight and in good shape, I just gave it an alignment and changed the upper balljoints also, so the whole front end is tight.
I have the brakes adjusted to where if I spin it freely it will spin about 1.5-2 turns before the tires stop spinning. Is this too tight or too loose? I like the brake pedal pressure with the drums adjusted that tight so I left them like that.
I'm hoping to get this done tonight cause my club is cruising tonight and I need to represent the classic stangs!
