I get my x-pipe tomorrow, but have a question on the air pump!

what i did was disconnect everything and left it on there... not the best way to do it, but i didn't have to mess w/ anything else... hell, i don't even think i've turned it off w/ my tweecer.

my plan is to get the delete kit--may be something for you to consider. if not, you can always measure for a new belt size w/ a tape measure, then subract an inch or so considering you'll need some tension.

i think i used an 85 1/2 inch belt..maybe someone else will join in because i exchange belts about 3 times to get the right one

i used string and i think i probably stretched it when i was measureing and it was a big pita...i would measure and it would always be different

I am not going to have any problems with the way it runs if I just remove it without a tweecer right?

i fought that battle with the belt after the bearing went out in the smog pump. the smallest i could find was an 89.5 and it started to slip off in about 2 months. it actually came lose and caused my battery to go dead and the car die in the middle of a busy road. the problem is when the belt hits the tensioner off the crank pulley instead of going off the smog pump is the tensioner is then not completely putting tension on the belt. you could get a delete pulley off ebay for about 40 bucks or you can take the smog pump apart and take the panes out and re use it. then it wont make any noise. it will just spin the bearing .

I am wary of dicsonecting it if you have cats...

I ran my stock cats without the air injection tube for a couple days and after a good run (40 minutes or so) the cats would "clog" up and the car would run like absolute crap... after sitting for a few hours it would be OK for a while...

Yea I know. But I am putting on a high flow catted X pipe which eliminates the air pump.

What size belt did you end up with?

MWAHAHAHAHA I knew someone eventually would ask.... SEEING AS NOBODY COULD HELP ME!!!, lol... Its kewl though, I know you guys dont like me:D

But I will tell you anyway. I got it from advance, it is 905K6 from advance (Drive-Rite) Got inexpensive belt because I needed to find the right size belt first. I usually never have a problem with these belts so I will stick with it for a while.
