Here's a couple of pics of the recently finished gage project. I still got a few tweaks left. I gotta run the signal wire for the oil gage yet. But the general concept is there. If someone were smart... they could take the gage pod/radio idea and make a aftermarket piece to sell. Or maybe someone has already?? Anyways.... I still got two giant holes in my rear hatch door that I'm going to have to attend to. Not looking forward to that... anyone want to swap hatch doors?

You could get a hidden radio, if so desired.

Yep. Easiest place for a head unit is the glove box. The amp and CD changer in the trunk. Still don't want a radio? Then fiberglass and bondo those speaker holes or shell out some dough for a new trap door.

No... I don't want a radio at all.

I'll have to come up with a piece of sheet metal to cover the trap holes. Fiberglass and bondo will likely show signs of of the work that was done. I'd never be able to match the texture of the hatch door. No big deal. I'll figure it out...

I agree, the sound of a wicked V8 beats any tunes. Even if I had a sick stereo I would listen to my motor way more than music.

I hear ya, looks nice. I still have my factory AM radio installed (but not hooked up). Between the V8 and flowmasters and the top down. I can't hear anything anyway!

Great job and let me know when you are finished mocking up a radio pod for me!
