I got my AFR 165cc installed and Dyno

Impressive, but its not an apples to apples comparison. I'd take a 93 Cobra camshaft over the Steeda 19. The 93 cobra has the same lift as the steeda 19, but has 270/270 for intake and exhaust duration, while the 19 has 220/226.

The steeda 19 is a great blower cam with 115 lsa that plays nice with EEC-IV.

Adam

The 220/226 steeda is rated @.050 lift, 270 on the Cobra is not at that lift it is advertised duration so the numbers are meaningless unless you compare at the same lift. You should always compare cams at .050 lift. Advertised durations are all over the place. One cam maker calls theirs a 280 cam and another says 300 but at .050 they can be the same.

Like some said, I think aTFS or Edel intake would help you more
than that Cobra but I have to agree with Tom, not all that much.

Once his power is up where it potentially can be, porting the Cobra lower is much more cost effective than a new intake and would be superior in performance in many applications.

The torque curves says it all.............your not filling the cylinders all that well.

So then what is it? I'm genuinely curious and not trying to be sarcastic. I just read this site that says its 227/270 duration and .485/.485 lift??

I guess the point I'm making is... if that camshaft works better with that combo, its going to make more power. Its not always about havin the biggest parts, the combo has to be mechanically sound and well matched. Something is not meshing well in the poster's combo.

Well i did not do any Data loging on with Tweecer while the car while was on the dyno :nonono:
And i don't have any numbers before the head swap
Car was dyno'd after head swap
Grady I didn't do any thing to my spark tables on the Tweecer or my fuel tables
the only think we did was the timing when added few degrees thats when the fuel fixture got better and that's how we left it the guy dosent now anything abaut the tweecer and howw they work i know that he's good with the Anderson PMS i saw few stangs there doing 500 rwhp and one dyno'd at 556 rwhp both of those car's run holly intakes and Vortec superchargers
I will probably look in to custom grind cam in near future or it will happen sonner then i think  And porting the lower intake to mach my Afr's or get Edl intake and port this one to mach the 165
But before i start changing parts again i will need to find out how to use the fuel &spark tables on the tweecer and go back to the Dyno and try playing with it and see what i can get out of it
But the cobra lower intake defiantly needs some porting :)

I would like to say more about a point Tom and Adam have
touched on.

That cam ... and others ... similar to it

You see lots of peeps talk about them
and
Like Adam said ... they have wide lsa's

Could this be a case of ........
a cam well suited for a tuneless combo
has
left power on the table in the pursuit of drivability concerns

I mean ... if you look at the rest of the combo ............
it looks pretty good to me

Again ... out of the box Cobra doesn't flow like others
but
Like Tom Said ... Not Enough Difference ... to kill that much power

Yes he has shorty's
but
They should not hurt peak power much ... if any at all

I looked through all my NA dyno pull files and found no combos
using that cam :shrug:

One last thing is there could be something very basic or simple
at fault here ... like something mechanical ... like .........

tb not fully opening
intake ports covered by bad gasket match
exhaust ports covered ... VERY EASY to do with AFR's wide E ports
or
any other kind of similar issue

I still wanna know about the air flow values during the pull :D
