ok, the new package for 06 brought the V6's up to around 210 or 215 horse or something, but they don't have the torque that our GT's have....

not sure what the weight is, but magazines have said that the new 6'ers could keep up to our 94/95 GT's....about a 15.1 quartermile time

Well I saw one at moroso when I went with my buddy a while back that has intake manifolds, intake full exhaust shift kit and tune and only ran 15.1, impressed me for a 6er stang. Of course my friends 99 GT only ran a quickest time of 14.2 which is really why I decieded against buying a 4.6 stang. Just seems that they are not as responsive to mods as ours are. He had 3.73's, KC clutch, flowmasters, off road H, 170* T-stat, Cold air intake and tokico shocks all the way around plus some eibach springs. While I am sure with the same crap I could run quicker driving right. I mean I think someone here with bumped timing and some other misc. crap was able to run 13.9 so Poo poo on the 4.6,3.8,and 4.0's

Stock for stock a 2006 V6 stang will beat our 12 and 13 year old GTs. I'd put money on it.

Heck it took me a little further than 330ft to catch a V-6 once. When your tires don't hold on the launch, you have to peddle the car and try again. I KNOW they will beat a stock AODE car.
