I gots a new toy

6200 out the door then i bought the side fairings and a jacket and helmet.. you can get a used one cheap for like 3500 suzuki has inhouse financing on their credit card for 99 a month..

Good choice on the bike man! The SV's are perfect for beginners, they inspire a lot of confidence.. I bought a bike about 3 months ago but not my first, so far I have been absolutely loving it! It's an 06 GSXR 1000..

And to the person who said the ZX-14 was the fastest production bike, you better check your facts, the 06 GSXR is faster than the busa in the 1/4 mile at 9.6@148, not to mention it will BLOW the ZX away in handling, stopping, cornering, etc, etc, etc. 1/4 mile isnt everything in the motorcycle world...

I was gonna get a Gsxr but i decided against it because when i get comfortable with something i start to speed alot and get into trouble so i figured with a smaller bike the less trouble i can get it..

The 1k is a handful, definitely not for beginners.. They will either get you killed or in a whole lot of trouble in a hurry.. Its pretty nuts to think you can be rolling at 50 mph crack it wide open and be doing 130-140 mph in 3 blinks of the eye...

Mustangphil: I dont mind the stock pipe, but I will be going to a Micron highmount shortly..

He probably got confused with most powerful production bike (which it currently is) . Surely not as fun as a 600 or 1000 in the twisties but I'd love to see what damn near 200 wheel horsepower feels like in a strait line.

nice bike, i don't trust myself on a bike so i will probalby never own one lol

i kinda did the same thing as you, my car is being a bitch and poped a head gasket so i said **** this, parked it and bought a ranger to play around with this year. i'm not getting rid of the stang, just taking a break from it :nice:
