Alright i have 500$ to spend on my 98 GT. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on whats the best bang for the buck. I aready have 4.10 gears, 3 inch exh, H pipe, Flowmasters, No Cats, Intake, and a 75mm thottle body....If anyone has any ideas please let me know...thankyou for your time...

Yea...i was thinking about VT stage one's i herd they are pretty sweet...and im going to have my car dyned soon but there is not a good enough dyno where i live...but thanks for the advice..

If you haven't done it yet, I'd suggest a PI swap. If you're still running non-PI you should see some nice gains especially since you have other mods.

save it for a nice nitrous set up, full PI swap and some stage II cams, or towards a blower. dont waste your money on stupid little bolt ons. they wont give you much power at all.

performance improved.

it refers to the PI cams/heads/intake that Ford switched to in 99 to boost the power of the GTs. the PI heads/cams/intake brought the 99-04 2V GT motor up from the 96-98s 215hp to 260hp.

I say if you plan on keeping the car, continue to save and like every one else says PI/Cams and then blower.

If not andd you just want some fun, then get some nitrous.

100-125 shot should make one hell of a difference when you hit the loud pedal.

worst case you'll blow then engine, which will be the perfect excuse to put a nice DOHC Cobra lump in there instead

I would try to spend a bit more than 500 and do pi heads and at least springs as well. I would look on ebay or classified of a mustang board. if you find used heads and intake then run the comp springs at the same time. the spring swap is so much easier when replacing the whole head anyway. then add cams easily down the road.

look for romeo heads with bolt on cam gears to make the cams swap easy down the road. they make a tool to wedge in between the timing chain so you just unbolt the cams and put the new ones in. if you don't have to change the springs another $500 down the road when you have it will be another $25 hp.

do them both now if you can but you would need more money obvioulsy.
