i have an idea.. need peoples opinions

Hi. So i need a new hood because my stock hood is digging into my intake and supercharger piping. I want to get a cervini's 95' cobra R hood but don't know where to take it to get it painted. so what if i just spray painted it flat black? with a spray gun.. do you think a flat black hood will look good on a sonic blue car? This is only temporary though, i'm definently going to get it painted.. just need to find a good painter.

so do you think i should do this or what?

Save about $125 and get a Kaenen hood from AM and then have that painted would be my choice. I've heard the quality is just as good as Cervini's but its less money. I wouln't go ebay cheap, but if American Muscle carries it then odds are its a quality made product

Spray painting it flat black in the back yard would look terrible not to mention probably make more work for the body shop down the road costing more money. Do a Google search of the area where you live, and read some reviews online on what people thought of the shops. Narrow down the list and then go check them out for yourself. Painting is all in the prep, a good prep = a nice job, bad prep = terrible job.

I would be spray painting it flat black in a building, which is where i work on and store my car.. come on man, i have more class than a back yard.. I'm just going to go with the keanen hood instead, im ordering it tomorrow and having macco paint it

Let us know how the quality of the hood is but I've heard good things. Might think about having it drop shipped to the body shop if using American Muscle since they charge for shipping large items.

i will definently, i always wonder how these hoods look when theyre shipped and whats the quality of them. Shouldnt be too long before everything starts to fall into place
