i hit a pothole; i now need new front tires

the sidewall blew out on me today when i hit a very large pothole. so i now need to go and buy 2 new front tires. (which i have needed for too long anyway) so i am looking for some recommendations. i am going with 245/45-17 and i dont want super expensive tires, but dont want anything to crappy either. i plan on selling the car, but not too soon. also the car is a DD so it sees rain, and will prolly see a little snow.

I run Nitto 555's (245/45/17) up front and I love them. They have great dry traction, and great wet traction as well. And I believe they are only a little more than $100 a tire.

General UHP here. They are under $100 each and GREAT in the rain. never had them in the snow though. They still have traction when it is really cold though unlike most z rated tires.

I am on my second set of fronts and on my first pair of rear tires... they actually wear pretty well too...
